How are brain tumors treated?
Some tumors are best treated with surgery to remove them, while others can be safely managed with radiation or medications. Certain tumors don’t need to be treated at all!
I commonly use brain mapping to remove tumors, including motor mapping and speech mapping, which helps to preserve neurologic function. I also use a variety of advanced, minimally invasive technologies in my practice to care for tumor patients, including robotic neurosurgery and Gamma Knife radiosurgery.
